Taiteilijasta
Sophia Ehrnrooth on kuvataiteilija. Hän asuu ja työskentelee Helsingissä. Hänen ilmaisumuotonsa ovat valokuvaus, performatiivinen installaatio, mediataide ja maalaus.
Taiteessaan Ehrnrooth käsittelee yhteisöllisiä prosesseja ja teemoja liittyen empatiaan, peliin ja leikkiin toisteisina tekoina ja toimintana. Ehrnrooth on valmistunut kuvataiteilijaksi Kuvataideakatemiasta vuonna 1990.
Julkisissa tiloissa esitettävissä performatiivissa installaatioissaan Ehrnrooth kannustaa yleisöä osallistumaan teoksiin.
Mediataiteessaan hän sekä kuvaa ja tarkkailee että osallistuu dialogiin dokumenttiensa kohteiden kanssa.
